Our History
Merepark was started in 1992 and initial business dealings involved purchasing potential residential sites with inherent difficulties and then managing a process of obtaining planning and access. and selling on to national house builders. The company subsequently began developing sites under the Merepark brand and have completed many highly successful schemes in the North West area.
Some ten years ago Merepark began to develop mixed use property selling the residential and holding the commercial as an investment. Current schemes are now primarily commercial with partnering the preferred route for the volume residential sales. Current investment tenants include NCP, Superdrug, JJB, Bathstore, Carphone Warehouse, Nando's, Costa Coffee, Footasylum, KFC, Blockbuster, Greggs, Subway, Network Rail and Granada.
Larger mixed use projects have included the Quadrangle in Manchester which was over 450,000 sq ft with a GDV in excess of £60 million and which was fully procured by the in house team. Merepark has also recently sold their interest in the Piccadilly Tower, Manchester to Ballymore, who are our 50% Joint Venture Partners in the Central Village, Liverpool project.
